Implant-Supported Dentures

Snap-on implant dentures eliminate the slipping and discomfort of traditional dentures — with the stability of implants.

What Is Implant-Supported Dentures?

Implant-supported dentures (also called overdentures or snap-on dentures) use 2–4 implants per arch as anchors for a removable or fixed denture. Unlike conventional dentures held in place by suction or adhesive, implant-supported dentures clip onto the implants for a secure, stable fit. They're an excellent option for patients who want the stability of implants at a lower cost than All-on-4.

How It Works

Implants are placed in the arch (typically 2–4 per arch). After healing, the denture is fitted with attachment components that snap onto the implant posts. The denture is removed nightly for cleaning but stays firmly in place throughout the day.

Key Benefits

  • Eliminates denture slipping during eating and speaking
  • Less bone loss than conventional dentures over time
  • Less expensive than fixed implant bridges
  • Removable for easy cleaning
  • Dramatically improves chewing efficiency and comfort
